IntraLearn Makes Brandon Hall’s ‘Short Lists’ for Launching and Tracking and as an e-Learning Solution for Application Service Providers
Northboro, Mass., March 21, 2001 - IntraLearn Software Corporation, a leading supplier of con-figurable e-Learning applications for the midsize enterprise, announced today that Brandon Hall, the leading learning industry analyst, has placed the company’s software product on two of his “short lists” of Learning Management Systems (LMSs) in his report, Learning Management Systems 2001: How to Choose the Right System for Your Organization. IntraLearn was included in the “Application Service Provider Focused Development and Admin System” short lists. Hall cited IntraLearn as an “extremely cost-effective solution with a fairly robust set of features.”

In his report, which is an independent evaluation of more than 60 LMS products, Hall writes, “The Management Team at IntraLearn had the right idea about how to price a learning management system. The reason the cost is lower than most LMS tools is that you pay once, using a “per server” pricing model and avoid paying a per-user charge. In addition, they have added Icosa (an add-on utility), which allows you to set up a single server providing training to multiple groups, even companies, each with its own look and feel and course offerings.”

The report went on to highlight the competitive strengths of IntraLearn’s e-Learning product for the midsize enterprise: its relational database architecture and the fact that it is a single, fully integrated and field configurable product.

"Brandon Hall’s is one of the most respected voices in the e-Learning universe. His evaluation of the IntraLearn platform is another example of the growing recognition in the industry of IntraLearn’s unique positioning. IntraLearn is the only company offering the mid-market enterprise an open, industry-standard e-Learning solution straight out of the box," said Jerry Goguen, President and CEO, IntraLearn Software Corporation. “In addition, IntraLearn’s Icosa architecture is unique and ideal for e-Learning ASPs.”
